Learning to not let yourself down

Hey ItGirlies todays topic is self love. Ahhhh self love….. its easy to say you should love yourself but its much harder to do, but dont worry because you aren’t the only one struggling with this topic.

Self Love tips

It seems silly, but its true. Loving yourself is the secret to happiness because the more you love yourself the less you allow others to treat you badly. It Girlies like us know our self worth. If you feel a little down and are just starting your it girl journey… your self love journey… here are a few tips to help keep you on the right track to better yourself, for yourself.

  • Do some physical activity

If you don’t workout daily then I suggest to keep a hobby that keeps you active. I enjoy swimming, dancing and going to lift weights at the gym but there are so many more options. Think about some exercise that makes you happy and do it 3 times or more per week. 

I know sometimes we just have our down days but discipline is key. Trust me girlies, you will feel better afterwards. If you skip no worries tomorrow is a new day. Tomorrow is always a new day baby girl.

  • Go out with people you love

I personally don’t want to go out when I’m self hating or just upset about anything. I just want to curl up in bed and mope, but that will not help anyone. We itgirlies got to pick ourselves up and the best way to do that is to surround yourself with people you love and love you back.

  • Keep A journal

I sometimes don’t understand myself. I get all sad and i dont know what triggered it or why something is wrong. And don’t beat yourself up for it. The way i fix this issue for myself is i get a pen and my notebook and i write. i let it all flow through me and when im done i read it all. 

If asked what was wrong i couldnt tell you but reading after i write i end up realizing just the reason i was not myself.

  • Listen to music 

Sometimes the right song can make us feel a whole lot better. It just communicates exactly how we feel.

  • start new hobbies

Keeping your mind preoccupied with things that you enjoy doing will make  you happy. Also, if you pick up a art class or music class or whatever your hobby is… you will make new friends that you have something in common with. 

Doing things for yourself makes you more happy and helps you keep higher boundaries and standards. The higher your standards the better your life is and that is why self love is super important.
